At the site of the Saint-Petersburg International Economic Forum, the Agreement on Cooperation was signed between Saint Petersburg, JSC «Metrogiprotrans» , JSC «MM S.p.A.» (Italian Republic) and LLC «MMB Project Rus». The document was signed by Governor Georgy Poltavchenko, president of JSC «Metrogiprotrans» Alexander Zemelman, General Director of the Joint Stock Company «MM S.p.A. » Stefano Chetti, General Director of LLC «MMB Project Rus» Aleksey Dotsenko. The ceremony was also attended by the ambassador of Italy in Russia Pasquale Terraciano.
The Agreement is aimed at strengthening cooperation on the development of the transport infrastructure of Saint-Petersburg. Georgy Poltavchenko noted that Metrogiprotrans is a long-time and reliable partner of the city. Now Metrogiprotrans conducts working design of the Krasnoselsko-Kalininskaya line, as well as pre-project studies of the Krasnoselsko-Kalininskaya, Koltsovo and Kirov-Vyborg lines. The governor congratulated the staff of Metrogiprotrans on the 85th anniversary, which the institute celebrates this year.
The company «MM S.p.A.» has been operating for more than 60 years. According to its projects, many Italian cities obtained metro lines and other large infrastructure facilities. Now the standards of «MM S.p.A.» and Metrogiprotrans are combined in the joint Russian-Italian enterprise «MMB Project Rus». «It is important that two such serious companies have combined their experience and technology to work in Russia. The Government of Saint- Petersburg is ready to cooperate with those who propose new solutions for the development of transport infrastructure» stressed Georgy Poltavchenko.
